Dark Genesis Tour Stop Excerpt & Giveaway

Check out this amazing excerpt from Dark Genesis!

Her stomach fluttered, but Alyssa quickly realized that it wasn’t the result of her lovey-dovey feelings so much as the teleporting.
The next thing Alyssa knew, they were at the city Frankenstein.
And they were surrounded by screams.
Before Alyssa could properly orient herself, a man had leapt on top of her.  His jaws snapped in her face, saliva dripping from them like a wild animal.  She recognized the elongated canines instantly.
Suddenly the man’s body was melting and she was grabbing hold of Flax’s hand, who pulled her to her feet.
“What’s going on?” Alyssa asked, looking around.  Vampires seemed to be everywhere.  Eric was beheading them left and right, Parker shooting them with arrows through their hearts.  But there were just too many, and it was dark out, making it even more difficult to determine how many and what they were trying to accomplish.
“Frankenstein is obviously under attack,” Flax replied, handing her a wooden arrow from Parker’s quiver.  “Stay alive.”
Alyssa began to attack vampires with fervor, but she couldn’t help but wonder why this was happening.
“We have to get to Gray,” she said after stabbing a female vampire who’d tried to jump her.  “He might know what’s going on here.”
Parker glanced back at her.  “Me and Eric can cover you if you guys make a run for it.”
“We’re not going to just leave you,” Alyssa protested.
“We’ll be right behind you.”
Alyssa frowned, mulling it over for a moment.
Vessa grabbed her shoulder.  “Come on.  We can’t just sit here in this battlefield.  We have to move.  They can handle themselves.”
Reluctantly, Alyssa nodded.  “Alright, let’s go.  This way.”  She led them up a side street after deciding against an alley where they could easily be ambushed.  She sidestepped a fire, and did a double-take when she saw a man pulling himself over kindling, completely engulfed by flames.  She took a hesitant step toward him before he dissolved, and she realized that he had been a vampire.  Looking back, she saw Parker and Eric keeping up with them pretty well, thanks in part to Ambrosia, who let loose with flames from overhead that the vampires seemed to dislike quite a bit.  The sight made her feel better, and she focused her attention on where they were going.

Meet Jen from Never Forget by Emma Hart! Blog Tour Stop!!

Happy Monday Supa readers!  Hope you had a fabulous weekend and read something amazing!

Today I get to chat with Jen, the sassy, fun loving BFF, from Never Forget by Emma Hart!

First, let me share the new cover with you in case you haven't seen it...

Kinda steamy huh? Never Forget is the first New Adult Romance by the fabulous Emma Hart.

Set in England, Emma's homeland, it has a fun British feel.  The story is a sweet, funny, smexy and heart tugging look at a family and love.  The story is fun, sassy, and down right sweet as can be.  Filled with promises of a long lasting love, former love 'em and leave 'em boy Alec becomes smitten with smart city girl Lexy.

Lexy has no use for another playboy in her life. Her brother Bing, great secondary character!, is a major playboy and she is determined that she won't ever fall for that. Lexy wasn't expecting Alec though! The moment she lays her eyes on him she is swooning. However, when she finds out about his bad boy past she makes it clear she is not up for a summer romance.

Soon Lexy realizes the heart wants what it wants. Will she be able to trust Alec with her heart and let herself fall? Will Alec be able to prove himself to Lexy and get her to give in?

A fun story about love and family. This story includes a whole cast of well written characters who will enchant you with their personalities.

The 411 on Jen:

Hi Jen!

Hi, Michele!

So I know you hadn't seen Lexy in a long long while.  Tell me, what did you think when you heard her voice on the other end of the line calling you?

I was so excited. Like bounce off the walls and hold onto your knickers excited. We did so much together as kids, and I couldn't believe it when Vi said they were coming back. I waited in like a total loser for her to call, but don't tell her that.

What would you have spent your summer doing if Lexy hadn't been in town?

Watching Alec and Carl surfing while being bored out of my brains. They're pretty to look at but so boring to watch surf.

Tell me how did you and Carl meet?

We actually met in school, and in a place like Lilac Bay it's hard not to know people for a long time. So yeah, we were friends before he started trying to seduce me. It worked, but I put up a helluva fight.

You seemed against Alec and Lexy dating at first..what were you thinking?

I was thinking that if Alec hurt her I'd string his balls from the village hall.

Got any dirty secrets on Lexy from when you two were growing up together?

Oh, I have loads. There was the time her skirt was tucked into her knickers when we were ten and she didn't know. In my defence, I didn't know either. Well, not for that long anyway. I think that’s the dirtiest. I was actually the wild child.. Can you believe that? * grins *

I have to mention the whole love/hate vibe you have going on with Bing. Is he like a big brother to you or is there a little attraction there?

There's about as much attraction there as there is for a fish to a shark. Okay, he's as hot as an Indian
summer. We all know that. Mr. Cheeky Grin and flexy muscles, but that's about all the appeal. He has the personality of a sea anemone and there is absolutely no love between us. It's all hate. What book were you reading to get the love vibe? Ew.

What are your plans this Fall?

I'm going to London, baby! Unfortunately it's for University, but I'm still going to London.

Is Carl following you to London for school?  If not, how will you cope being apart?

No, he's not following me to London. He has a job working on a farm near the Bay. I think we'll be okay being apart. At least, I hope we will be.

Random questions:

Favorite song to dance to out clubbing?

If I can move to it I'll take it.

Favorite drink?

Vino. Duh.

Fav. memory with hanging with Lexy, Carl & Alec this summer?

The sandcastle competition. I say that, because it's the moment I truly believed Alec was in love with Lexy, and goddamn it all he drives me crazy, but I bloody love that adopted brother of mine.
Not legally adopted. More I-need-to-keep-an-eye-on-your-crazy-ass-adopted.

Thanks for stopping by Jen...I hope we get to see more of you in the future!

Well friends this SupaGurl has got to run!  I hope you will grab yourself a copy of Never Forget!

However, we aren't the only ones who are going to be there!  Tons and Tons of authors, bloggers and fans will be there too.

We have decided to start introducing you to some of the authors who you might run into if you can make it to the convention.

If you can't make it please take the time to check these peeps out on Goodreads, Amazon, Twitter, Facebook as these are all awesome writers of the Paranormal genre!

Today's Interview:
Mercy Amare

- What is the one book of yours (if you have more than one) that you would suggest a fan read before going to UtopYA?

You Got Me is my latest release (Released 2.8.12). It's been very successful. It's a very sweet book about finding love and letting go of the past. My next book, Jaded (The Rockstar Trilogy, Book 1) will be releasing April/ May right before UTopYA. It's more fun and flirty. It really depends on the reader :).
- What is your favorite paranormal element/character to read (angels, vampires, werewolves, time travel etc.)

Angels, definitely. I've read quite a few lately. There are so many different ways authors can go with angels.
- How many books do you find yourself getting to read a month?
Anywhere from 5-20, depending on how much time I have. I like to read a lot, especially when I'm writing.
- Do You have an Author you are dying to meet at UtopYA?
SO MANY! Jessica Sorensen and Chelsea Fine. Those 2 are my favorite for sure :)
- Random question ALERT if you are a coffee drinker what’s your fave flavor/kind?
I LOVE COFFEE! My favorite flavor is white mocha :)... And caramel, mocha, and so on.
- Random question ALERT part 2, what's your writing snack to have on hand?
NOS energy drink or Red Bull. I also love chocolate. But I have to be careful with that one!
- Are you going as a Panelist, an Exhibitor or just as an Author to learn more?
Just as an author to learn more, and of course, meet lots of people :)
- Can you give us a small excerpt from one of your books?
Sure! This is an excerpt from my UPCOMING book, Jaded!

You probably should have wore more comfortable shoes, Blondie,” Stephan tells me, looking at my 4 inch stilettos.
You told me to dress hot. You can't look hot and be comfortable,” I say, shaking my head. Boys.
You'd look hot in anything...” he pauses, then adds, “or nothing. I'm ok with that option as well. Feel free to take your clothes off.”
I roll my eyes. “Seriously, perv, if this is how it's going to be tonight, I will just go home.”
No, no,” he says. “I'll be good. I promise.”
Just remember – you will never see me naked. EVER.”
His green eyes once again have me hypnotized. “One day soon, I will prove you wrong. And when I do, I am going to remind you of this very conversation.”
Yeah, it just got hot again.

"Simply put, this book was amazing. I've read more fantasy novels than I can count, but this one is certainly one of the best. The emotions portrayed throughout the book manifest in the reader, and the imagery is beautiful. The heroine isn't some wishy-washy pansy that screams at everything, and the focus of the story isn't on some unbelievably beautiful teenage girl who suddenly becomes the biggest, baddest member of her species falling in love with some big, bad, sexy member of her newfound species. It's about a girl becoming something she never knew existed, finding her place within the pack family she values more than ever before, and an age-old feud that threatens everything she loves. The story is fast-paced and gripping, and the purely wild emotions the heroine feels when with her pack come up off the pages and make the reader smile."
-Morgan-Leigh, Amazon reviewer

Excerpt:

Her head was turned up to the sky, her ears pricked, waiting for the next lines. But instead of the next line of a melancholy song, she heard next a sound far too close for comfort. From directly behind her a sudden swishing sound sent her spinning on her heels. As she whirled and faced the house, a bright shape flashed into her line of sight. It was her grandfather, robed in white, suddenly standing just this side of the glass door.

“It’s time,” he said in a low, serious tone.

“N—now?” Evie stuttered. He had appeared so quickly, and her nerves were so on edge, that he had startled her.

“Now,” he answered coolly. “Do you understand how young birds learn to fly?”

“What?” she gasped.

“Do as I say.”

“Do what?” Evie began, but before she could form the words her grandfather was gone.

In one fluid motion he had stepped from his robe, dropped in height, lightened in color, spread in width, and in a blink transformed into a massive white wolf; Evie felt his great weight creaking the deck boards. Slightly smaller than the wolf of her dream, this wolf too had eyes that absorbed all of the night’s small light and reflected it in stormy pools of green. With sides swelling from his first deep breaths of the night, he stared into her with those piercing eyes. A deep rumble started low in his belly.
