Author Bio:

If I am not producing magic potions, traveling to far off lands and falling in love with mythical creatures, then I am awake - tripping over toys, chasing my kids and conjuring ways to unknowingly booby trap our house for my husband. (Yes its unknowingly, I swear I never placed the tiny plastic army man in his path for him to find in the dark of midnight!) Dreamscape

You ready for it?

What about now??

Ok..... no really here it is........

WOWZERS!! I love it... really it's beautiful :)

What do you all think? Well here is the blurb to go with it...

Every night before Amelia falls asleep she makes a wish to dream of him – the man who calls her to their beautiful private oasis, her sanctuary where she is free of her greedy landlord’s threats. But tonight, he will not call Amelia to him. Tonight, another man will step into her world to claim her. Tonight, Amelia’s shattering reality will crumble - and disappear into the Dreamscape…along with her freedom.

When Amelia dreams tonight, her nightmare becomes her new world where Seth is her captor and anything is possible…except escape. Seth needs Amelia to break the curse that binds him to the Dreamscape. He must convince her that she was made to free him, that she was made to join him.

For if he fails, he will never escape his prison, and he will lose Earth to the Netherworld where the evil Erobos wait to consume the human realm and everything in it. If he fails, Seth will lose the one thing that matters to him: Amelia.

All about Christie Rich:

I grew up daydreaming about fairytales, and my love for discovering new worlds has never died. I am not one of those writers who always knew I would write. I thought that was what other people did until one day a few years ago, I took a challenge from a friend and typed my first words. My journey has been wonderful, and I cannot imagine a day where I would ever give up writing now. My love for reading is what fueled my imagination in the first place and still does. When I am not writing or reading, I am enjoying family time with my husband and two children. We live in a quiet community under the Wellsville mountains in Utah, and I am so thankful for the rich life I have been blessed with.

Praise:

"Simply put, this book was amazing. I've read more fantasy novels than I can count, but this one is certainly one of the best. The emotions portrayed throughout the book manifest in the reader, and the imagery is beautiful. The heroine isn't some wishy-washy pansy that screams at everything, and the focus of the story isn't on some unbelievably beautiful teenage girl who suddenly becomes the biggest, baddest member of her species falling in love with some big, bad, sexy member of her newfound species. It's about a girl becoming something she never knew existed, finding her place within the pack family she values more than ever before, and an age-old feud that threatens everything she loves. The story is fast-paced and gripping, and the purely wild emotions the heroine feels when with her pack come up off the pages and make the reader smile."
-Morgan-Leigh, Amazon reviewer

Excerpt:

Her head was turned up to the sky, her ears pricked, waiting for the next lines. But instead of the next line of a melancholy song, she heard next a sound far too close for comfort. From directly behind her a sudden swishing sound sent her spinning on her heels. As she whirled and faced the house, a bright shape flashed into her line of sight. It was her grandfather, robed in white, suddenly standing just this side of the glass door.

“It’s time,” he said in a low, serious tone.

“N—now?” Evie stuttered. He had appeared so quickly, and her nerves were so on edge, that he had startled her.

“Now,” he answered coolly. “Do you understand how young birds learn to fly?”

“What?” she gasped.

“Do as I say.”

“Do what?” Evie began, but before she could form the words her grandfather was gone.

In one fluid motion he had stepped from his robe, dropped in height, lightened in color, spread in width, and in a blink transformed into a massive white wolf; Evie felt his great weight creaking the deck boards. Slightly smaller than the wolf of her dream, this wolf too had eyes that absorbed all of the night’s small light and reflected it in stormy pools of green. With sides swelling from his first deep breaths of the night, he stared into her with those piercing eyes. A deep rumble started low in his belly.

Don't Fear The Reaper by Michelle Muto

SupaGurl is back and the first thing I want to show you and tell you all about.... Don't Fear The Reaper by Michelle Muto!! I am bringing to you the story behind the story.... Such an amazing story so find out now with never before seen info on the Book!!!

Haunted by memories of her murdered twin, Keely Morrison is convinced suicide is her only ticket to eternal peace.

But in death, she discovers the afterlife is nothing like she expected. Instead of peaceful oblivion or a joyful reunion with her sister, Keely is trapped in a netherworld on Earth with only a bounty-hunting reaper and a sarcastic demon to show her the ropes.

When the demon offers Keely her ultimate temptation--revenge on her sister's killer--she must determine who she can trust. Because, as Keely soon learns, the reaper and demon have been keeping secrets and she fears the worst is true--that her every decision changes how, and with whom, she spends eternity.

Tell Me About Heaven – The Story Behind Don't Fear the Reaper

I first came up with the idea for Don't Fear the Reaper after several agents had rejected another novel I’d written and asked if I had anything, darker – more edgy. Oddly, it’s been years, but I still recall coming up with the concept so vividly.

I was cleaning house and mulling over new ideas when Blue Oyster Cult’s iconic 1976 song, Don't Fear the Reaper, came up on my iPod’s playlist. There were several parts that truly inspired me: “Take my hand,” “40,000 men and women everyday,” “Love of two is one. Here, but now they’re gone,” and “the candles flew and the mist appeared, the curtains blew and then he appeared.”

From there, it was a matter of ‘What If’s’ that made my idea unique from the song. What if it wasn’t star-crossed lovers? What if it was family? What if the main character met up with a bounty-hunting reaper and a handsome, but sarcastic demon? And what if all the odds were stacked against my main character and yet, she still found hope and help in the most unlikely of fellow characters? What if all it took to save a soul was sacrifice, one born of undying love and devotion? And yet, the price of that salvation comes at a high price?

I couldn’t wait to write it. What I hadn’t expected was how it’d rip open old wounds, how the pain of writing Keely’s grief meant revisiting my own. I’d lost my grandparents, my parents, my uncles, all my aunts except for one. I’d lost friends and beloved fur babies, all of whom I’d loved with every fiber of my being. I’d witnessed four of their deaths. Held the head of two in my arms as they passed. Two died in the house I currently live in.

Up to this point, I’d managed my grief. Now, by sitting down to write about love that went beyond death, I was getting ready to stick a hammer and chisel into the wall I’d built and bring the wall down, and with it, all the painful memories I’d carefully placed behind it.

Tell me about Heaven, Dad
I really want to know,
Because ten long years have passed,
And I miss you so…
The above stanza is from a poem I wrote to my father ten years after his death. I cannot begin to describe what it was like to lose my father, whom I loved more than my very being. All these years later, I’ll freely admit it: I’m a Daddy’s girl. We’re so much alike, he and I.  I was robbed of him far too soon by multiple myeloma, a brutal and incurable cancer.
For those who have read Don’t Fear the Reaper, it’s easy to see the real life example I used. It’s easy to spot the grief, the emotion I used for my main character, Keely Morrison. There’s a couple scenes that I drew from real life.
Oh, and about those agents? I had several tell me that the opening was one of the best they’d read in a long time, and that the concept was original. But, in the end, they felt the subject matter was too dark. That’s okay. I’ve chosen to let the reader decide.

That’s my heart on a sleeve, Dear Reader. The story behind the story. Thanks for reading about the journey.

Haven't read this yet.... Well go hurry and check it out now!

The Secret of Ella & Micha Tour Guest Review

When I saw the opportunity to jump into “The Secret of Ella and Micha” blog tour, I didn't think it twice. I was so intrigued by this book, its cover and its blurb. You know that saying that goes: “count the sin not the sinner”? Well, I’m not going to give you much detail about it but, this specific story about an unfinished love, reminded me of myself and, *a-hem* let’s just say, a special story. So, now you know what I was referring to when I’d mentioned how captivated I was by this book. But, enough about me, this book is too special to get interrupted by my nonsense.

From the very first scene I felt completely dragged into this story. I don’t like spoilers but, the setting of that singular scene… The rain, the bridge, Micha Scott, *blushes while fanning self* Oh Micha. I don’t know what is it about bad boys but they are just... In absence of a better word, HOT. Yes, that’s the right one! Bad boys are HOT and Micha isn't an exception for that rule.

As you've read on the blurb, Ella used to be the perfect crime partner, a rule-breaker.  Nevertheless, she’s now trying to keep her new low profile, straight “A”, responsible self in line. Hiding all her problems from the world and her only new friend/roommate Lila, her biggest fear is to return home. She’s afraid of returning to the place where everybody knows about her past, the place where she’s just a sidewalk away from Micha.

As I said before, Micha is a bad boy. He’s a tattooed, lip pierced and sweet as a honey bun bad boy. At least, that’s what he wants everyone to believe. However, he doesn’t fool Ella. They’ve known each other long enough to know what’s going on with the other just by a glance.
The patience Micha shows Ella it’s immeasurable. While she wraps her head around how she deals with her past and her family, Micha is her constant, her unconditional support. The clearest example of this comes from Micha’s lips: “I love you, Ella May and nothing will ever change that. You can push me away—run away—and I will still love you.”
If he isn’t “Prince Charming” material, I don’t know who can be.

One of the features I enjoyed the most about this book was the characters. They felt real, as if they were taken from our 3-D world and left into their flat, bookish realm. I’m not only talking about the main characters but the secondary, Lila and Micha’s friend Ethan, too. I was ecstatic when I learned that Lila and Ethan are having their own story told. Yes, you've read me right, Lila and Ethan will be the main characters for the 3rd book in “The Secret” Series, right after “The Forever of Ella and Micha”.

Jessica’s Sorensen writing was fluent, flawless and poetic.
“The scream that shatters my mouth could shatter the world's happiness into a thousand pieces. But the silence that follows it is enough to dissolve it completely.”
Not only I excessively enjoyed this book, but it also kidnapped my heart and didn't give it back till I turn the last page.
“…when it all comes down to it, it’s just me and her against the world. Always has been.”

At this moment, before you get tired of me, I’d like to thank Heather (SupaGurl) for her kindness, awesomeness and joyfulness. She was the first blogger to let me be part of her blog, the first one to trust me and to encourage me to write reviews. Therefore…

THANK YOU!!!

H, as I told you before, I ♥ YOU and think of yourself as warned when I tell you: “Worry about the day we meet”, because my hugs can be extremely tight. ;)

Shadow Slayer by Laura Elliot TOUR STOP Review

Shadow Slayer (Shadow Series #2) :
Shadows will do anything to become human. You see their influence everyday. You say things you don’t mean or do things that aren't like you. You look, different. Friends you've known forever suddenly never call.

As a freshman, Roxie just wants to fit in which is impossible because she barely runs into her friends at her huge high school. Adrianne’s disappearance and Hayden’s attention rock Roxie’s world. But nothing rocks it like the most gorgeous guy at school, Drew. And nothing is more important to Roxie than astral projecting back to Planet Popular to solve the mystery of the map. But that changes when Drew invites Roxie to Homecoming. Hayden warns her that something’s wrong. Why would a guy like Drew like Roxie anyway? Drew must want something. Hayden’s right. Drew is...different. Planet Popular was just the beginning. Part of a bigger world, the Shadow World. There’s a war brewing between the world of humans and the world of shadows. When the shadow invasion begins at Roxie’s high school, she’ll not only fight for her life but the lives of her family and friends, when she discovers she’s the Shadow Slayer, the one human who can save Earth from the shadow onslaught. But, Roxie can’t even kill a spider. Oh yeah, there’s an evil English teacher, an enchanted play, a sword of Sandonian steel, a homecoming of horrors, and seven magic words too.

13 on Halloween (Shadow Series #1) :

Roxie has the best night of her life until the popular kids decide they want to celebrate her birthday in a way Roxie never expects––in her attic, with a gift that’s out of this world, and a pact to never tell a living soul what happens next.

Twelve-year-old Roxie wants to be like Adrianne, the popular girl who gets everything she wants––a flock to prowl around the mall with; invitations to parties; and for Hayden, the cutest guy in the eighth grade to, you know, notice her. When Roxie invites all the eighth grade peacocks (code word : popular kids) to her first ever thirteenth birthday party on Halloween, they all come and give her a gift that’s literally out of this world. Roxie astral projects to Planet Popular where she becomes seventeen instantly and gets everything she’s always wanted, but nothing is as it seems. Being a high school peacock is complicated and Roxie will risk everything to be who she thinks she wants to be. Oh yeah, there’s Prom, doppelgangers, a mysterious map, and lots of bad peacocks too.
13 on Halloween, (Shadow Series #1) is now available as an audiobook on iTunes, Audible or Amazon.

COVER REVEAL Incendiary by Amy Bartol

Ok... I'm just going to FANGIRL for a minute!

I may be done for a minute.... LOL

Blurb:

Cold, fine drops of rain fall softly on my cheeks as I emerge from the darkness of the ship’s interior to the gray, overcast sky of the main deck. Pulling my dark pea coat tighter to my body, the wind lifts red tendrils of my hair. I walk slowly to the railing overlooking the water.
I catch my first sight of the Irish coastline; its craggy landscape makes me shiver in dread. I find it difficult to imagine now how the Gancanagh had made this their home for so long without anyone realizing it. The cold, moss-covered edifices practically scream their presence. As I study the shadows between the falling-down stone, I imagine creeping shapes of undead Faeries grasping the rock, waiting for our ship to draw nearer to their position.
Tipping my face up, I let the rain wash over me. It bathes away the frigid sweat of fear that has broken on my brow. “You don’t know how fiercely beautiful you are, do you?” A quiet voice behind me asks, causing me to stiffen and fix my eyes on the rocks along the shoreline.

and Ok now for the COVER!!!

Review:

This is one of those books.. that is different and unexpected! I loved the concept of the story and Shannon followed through with an amazing ride! The writing is simply but spellbinding as it draws you into the story and keeps you stuck there. Intriguing, twisty, fun and even sexy.

Mercy is a fun and complex character. I would not want to be in her shoes, but once you find out what her deal is you will see why :) I loved her though! Her life is taking a turn for the messy side and it's so so good! and well she has a yummy guy, well ok maybe more than one that gets involved...

Flynn, Paul, and Sebastian... oh what can I say except for HOLY Hottness!! Each has their own strengths and weaknesses and I really love that there is something in each of them that you can connect with/love. Everyone is picking one guy they are all for? well... I'm all Flynn!! I heart him so hard!

Review:

I didn't think that anything outside of the Celestra Series by Addison would capture my attention quite like it has... I was wrong. This is the beginning of something Amazing all by itself.

From the start you are sucked into Laken's story. I think this girl is kick butt! She is strong and determined. Is she a teenager? yes! Can she control how she feels? NO! does it matter that there are more than one hot boy for her? NO! I love how Addison writes her love interests... because you can't really decide who is best for who. She makes it so that if you were to actually have to choose... you would be like o.0

This is a wild and crazy ride but hold on and enjoy it! Who is telling the truth? Who is crazy? What are those things in the woods?

The writing is wicked amazing! She has a way with all the words and twisting and spinning the story that will leave you breathless!  You MUST read if your an Addison Moore fan and if you haven't tried out her books yet... This is Just Like All the Others..... AMAZING!!

Once in while I stumble upon a completely different and unique book that makes me fall in love with the YA genre all over again. “Return to Arethane” would be the perfect example of that.

As a daily YA reader, whether I like it or not, I tend to compare and categorize books. I put them in mental shelves such as: vampires, dystopian, etc. But with this book in particular, I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t place it in any of those shelves because I haven’t read anything like it before. Both the storyline and characters took me by surprise.

The book starts out with Emily having to deal with an alcoholic mother and some health issues. As you go further on the story we meet Emily’s BFF, Dafne. She’s a sweet girl who looks after and takes care of her friend. Then, Dafne’s brother and sister, Jarrad and Kara, appeared and everything change between Dafne and Emily. While Jarrad is sweet, gentle and, let me say it, a gentleman, Kara seems to be a total witch.

Talking about the characters, I liked that each and every one of them had a story of their own. All of them had secrets and the third person point of view allow the reader to approach everybody equally.  From the very beginning you can tell Emily is the main character but as I kept reading I
found out more and more about Jarrad, Karawyn and Dafne too.

If it weren’t for trivial things such as college, work or sleeping, I would have read this book in one sit. I actually found myself taking my Kindle to classes or work so I could keep reading. Besides being different from any other book, what I really liked about this one is that it kept on the edge of my seat many times. Unusually, I rooted for every character and I couldn’t wait to know what was coming next for them.

Kelly Riad’s writing was fluent, vivid and compelling. I could picture everything she described and felt part of the story altogether. With unique touches, she made the story quick, funny and thrilling.

Since I don’t like spoilers, I try to avoid them as much as possible but let me tell you a few things. First, you are going to fall for Jarrad, it doesn’t matter which is your men type; you are going to love him. Second, there is more than meets the eye, so don’t judge the characters too quickly. Third, no matter how good you’re guesses are, in the end, you won’t get even close. Finally, if you are looking for a different, sweet, dynamic and fantastic book, “Return to Arethane” will be your Google’s search results.
