Guest Review by Mercedes

Book blurb:
The last thing Laken Stewart remembers is the oncoming car, then bursting through the windshield.

Two months dissolve without her knowledge and she finds herself in unfamiliar surroundings with strangers who not only profess to know her but insist she’s someone else entirely.
Laken discovers her long dead boyfriend, Wesley, has been thrown into this alternate world as well. He is quick to inform her she suffered a horrible fall and that her memory hasn’t fully returned. According to Wesley the other life she had—her name, her family, they were simply a side effect of her brain trauma.
In her quest for answers she meets Cooper Flanders, the son of her psychiatrist who readily believes every word she says.
Laken Stewart knows she died on that hot July afternoon, but now she’s alive—or is she?

My take:
I’ve been stalking Addison and her books since I read “Ethereal” from the Celestra Series. After reading every single book in that series, I was thrilled and really intrigued to know what Addison had coming next for her readers.
“In the grand scheme of things, you’ll be dead a lot longer than you’ll ever be alive.” That’s the first sentence in chapter 1 and, also, a great example of Addison’s addicting writing. It flows from sentence to sentence getting you more and more involved with the story. Addison has the ability to hook you from the very beginning till you read “The End”.

The overwhelming mystery that surrounds Laken is
absorbing. Everything from each character to the setting is incredibly unique and detailed. I felt I was living every moment next to her, rooting for her and guessing, unsuccessfully, what was coming next.

There are so many different types of paranormal characters-
zombies, supernatural creatures, angels- who make the story more appealing by the sentence. I’d define the story as a mix of romance, thrilling action and a fast-paced plot that will keep you up till the early hours of the morning and have your toes curling constantly.

Customarily to Addison’s books; this story is full of twists, secrets and
appetizingly steamy romance. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who loves an action-packed and singly fantastic but still romantic story.
There aren’t enough stars I can give to this book, but since I like numbers, I’ll give 5 big fat stars to Ms. Moore creation.

Review:

I didn't think that anything outside of the Celestra Series by Addison would capture my attention quite like it has... I was wrong. This is the beginning of something Amazing all by itself.

From the start you are sucked into Laken's story. I think this girl is kick butt! She is strong and determined. Is she a teenager? yes! Can she control how she feels? NO! does it matter that there are more than one hot boy for her? NO! I love how Addison writes her love interests... because you can't really decide who is best for who. She makes it so that if you were to actually have to choose... you would be like o.0

This is a wild and crazy ride but hold on and enjoy it! Who is telling the truth? Who is crazy? What are those things in the woods?

The writing is wicked amazing! She has a way with all the words and twisting and spinning the story that will leave you breathless!  You MUST read if your an Addison Moore fan and if you haven't tried out her books yet... This is Just Like All the Others..... AMAZING!!
