I have for you today .... The Awesome Carlyle Labuschagne!!
Author of :
Dead of night coming October 2014
Absolution coming November 2014
Carlyle will be at UtopYA Con in Nashville this year and I asked her.... What are you looking forward to MOST at UtopYA?
What am I looking forward to the most at UtopYAcon? – EVERYTHING.
Coming aaaaalll the way from South Africa you know I have to be looking forward to soaking up each and every minute. In South Africa book fests are far a few between, but something of this magnitude, energy and amazingness – is non-existent.
The best part is – it will be like visiting long lost family. I ve been virtually connected to most of the authors attend for a good 3 years now. There has been talk of me flying over and having a writers retreat to meet up with some of the authors. Now I have my chance and in abundance I might add. I will get to hangout with all of my author friends (AKA heroes). I will learn from those who I have admired for a very long time. But for me personally, I will advance in my career tenfold. The knowledge and experience I bring back from the USA is unfathomable. And when the hard work of attending the great panels, showcasing my work in the exhibition halls, and signing books (real hard work) I will get to celebrate with my new family after the awards – we are all going to look so pretty in our awards dresses!
And sure I have had swag designed before, but its been a fraction of what I have planned for the con. 95% of my readers and fans are from the USA so shipping my swag has not been easy or cheap. Now I get to go to one of the most exciting cons ever! Im done with bookmarks and gift vouchers I get to go with buckets full of trinkets to shower my fans with. The pre – journey has been exciting – UtopYA is going to blow my mind!
Cant wait to see you there!
I'm very excited to meet her there! For now and if you cannot attend here is where you can find her and her books on the web
