Krista Miller feels like she has lived her entire life in a glass box with her every emotion on display. She can’t help feeling like a defect as her sensitivities have made her socially inept and without any real friends; the one exception being the boy that visits her each night in her dreams.
Krista’s emotions are put to the test when a move to California triggers a devastating change to her fantasy world. The nightly comfort that the boy provides has now become a recurring nightmare as he is taken from her by an unseen force.
Struggling to appear normal, Krista enrolls in a new school and finds it to be nothing like she thought. Her new life is sent spiraling out of control from a strange connection with a boy, Mark, who claims to know all her secrets.
As Krista begins to explore the emotions that Mark evokes in her, secrets about their mysterious past and their predestined purpose threatens to separate them just when they have found each other.
About Tiffany King : Taken from her site...
Hi, my name is Tiffany King the author of the Paranormal/Romance YA novel “Meant to Be” and I’m practically a native Floridian. My family and I have been here for the last fourteen years and have gotten quite used to the mild winters and scorching summers. I went back to school when I turned 31 and will finish up this spring. I wrote my book “Meant to Be” two years into my degree program and put it on hold while I finished school. Of course my degree has nothing to do with writing *drat* but that doesn’t mean that I’m not going to keep writing. During this process with “Meant to Be” I discovered just how much I love to write and I have many story ideas tucked away. I’m glad you made it to my blog and hope you will follow me and “Meant to Be” as we navigate through self-publishing. Welcome Aboard.
**Review**
Meant to Be is just outright Amazing! I loved everything about this book. I went into reading it without reading the blurb b/c that's how I roll. I was instantly pulled in and couldn't put it down. The story line flows really well and doesn't drag. There is just enough to keep you guessing as to what is going on. Also, Tiffany has earned a spot with Author Shelly Crane as an amazing Swoony writer *yes I make up words to explain the awesomeness*
The characters are very well written ... they are teenagers and while they have their "moments" they are not annoying or silly. Each one is well thought out and developed in their own way.
Krista... I really enjoy her. She has been through alot but at the same time she's been sheltered some. Her emotions always get the best of her and she has no idea why. She has dreamed about a boy her whole life and the she literally meets the man of her dreams. I love how this was done, and how she reacts. I'm not going to spoil anything for you but Krista is a fun, engaging character... I loved her!
Mark... oh you know how I like my book boys? Well he is right up there with the best of them. Amazing looks, great personality and fiercely protective! *swoon*
Here is where I am going to tell you a fave part of my book .... so beware don't read this if you don't like to see stuff before you read. I don't think it's spoilery though..
"I want you to listen to me, You seem to be under the misconception that there is something wrong with you, that there is nothing special about you. There is nobody else in the whole world that I would rather be with. I could look at you for hours and never get sick of it. I could spend every second of everyday in your presence and I would die a happy man. You belong with me," he finished as he gave the chains of my swing another tug, dragging me even closer as he kissed me.
I love this review!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI seem to have gotten a bit lost on my way to the Dude books section, but (please don't tell my brothers) This sounds really good!
ReplyDeleteI'm actually reading a RomCom right now (Carats and Coconuts), and to preserve my masculinity, I should also say I'm reading Dead: The Ugly Beginning, a zombie apocalypse book (I am!), but I'm gonna add this to my list. It will be my 1st real romance (book)!
The blurb is interesting, the review is enticing, and the cover is appealing. What's not to love?
Thanks, Supagurl!
