For as long as she can remember, 17-year-old Alexis Forbes can hear the thoughts of others. Most recently, she is disturbed by the dark, unfamiliar voice of a frightening killer: callous, cunning, charismatic…and dead.

Alexis is suddenly being haunted by a terrifying past she doesn’t remember, and a ghost with a serious score to settle. Even Chance, the gorgeous new guy she’s falling for, has his own ghostly secret. He’s definitely not like any guy she’s ever met. Alexis soon discovers she has a connection to the dead and it runs much deeper than she could ever imagine. And if the sociopathic entity has his way, she’ll finally be sentenced to the fate she escaped thirteen years ago.
My Review: I was so excited to read this! Taryn has a way with words and this book is NO exception. Whispering Hills is like no other story I've read. It has mystery, suspense, action, and of course Romance! It's a Ghost Story...a love story and man do I enjoy both of those :)
The story line is so interesting and has loads of twists and turns but not so much that you get lost. It is just the right amount and it will KEEP you turning the pages to find out what is happening next. You think one thing is going on and wham! nope that is so not it... I LOVED IT! Not much surprises me anymore with as much as I read well this totally did.
Alexis, wow this poor girl *not really* but she can hear things others can't and she has done great with it...where someone else might go crazy or use it for bad. She has an great family and some good friends. When Chance comes on the scene well everything else fades to the back. Do you see that over there ------ > yeah that is my Chance! Devastatingly handsome and sweetness to go with it! He is mysterious which of course makes you want to know all that more about him! As you read you learn more about him and in the end you will love him even more...yes it's possible! His life has not been easy, but he is loyal and trusting and kind.
The "friends and enemies" are all amazing also! They have some of my favorite lines. Funny and scary all rolled in together makes for great support! All in all this book has it all and more!

DeleteFirst I just want to say how awesome and funny that picture is of the Supernatural guys(I would be more specific but I haven't seen the show). Oh and Chance is very hott lol. I definitely want to read this book. I love the mix of paranormal with the haunted mystery and yes I want to meet Chance. Whispering Hills is already in my TBR list and just sounds like an amazing book.
