Magic isn't a handful of sparkling dust, a star-topped wand, or a tame word captured on parchment.
It's alive. It has a mind of its own. And it's hungry.
To celebrate the release of Slippers of Pearl and Bitten: A Novel of Faerie, I'd like to offer a bite of magic to all those who love kidlit--and fairy tales in particular.
There will be eleven winners and six different prizes available:
Shoes, unlike magic, are predictable. They don’t change shape, bite, or alter a person’s destiny.
And that’s just how Faryn likes it.
But his Uncle Harvey has a bad habit of dying. While inconvenient, this hasn’t ever been a problem until now. Thanks to an evil witch and a poisoned apple turnover, Harvey is dead again—permanently this time.
As his uncle’s heir, Faryn has to give up shoemaking in order to accept and refine his magic.
Magic he never wanted.
Unwilling to let go of his dream, but unable to escape his destiny, Faryn combines the two and discovers a knack for making magical shoes. He also learns that turning a person into a goose is a lot easier than turning her back, and that he severely underestimated how much trouble magic can be.
The witch who killed his uncle is trying to control all the magic of the land, and it’s up to Faryn to stop her. If only he can get his magic to cooperate in time.

A Bite of Faerie
(Available October 2nd-ish)
Fourteen-year-old Cherrie Wilding stopped believing in fairies after her Grams had a stroke that left her a silent, empty stranger. But whether she believes in them or not, one of them bit her, and now the venom is spreading through her system and causing . . . complications. Like an allergy to iron and a craving for milk.
It turns out that fairy venom has the power to turn mortals into small, winged versions of themselves. And it gets better. Grams's stroke was the result of her light—her fairy soul—being stolen. The fairy who bit Cherrie demands her to help steal Grams’s light back.
As much as Cherrie wants to save Grams, her need to protect her older brother from the fairies and the rest of the real world wins out. Who knows what lurks in a world populated by winged menaces? But when the fairy talks Cherrie’s brother into going to the fairy realm, Cherrie mounts a rescue attempt to save him. To her surprise, it’s not her brother who needs rescuing—it’s the fairies. Someone is stealing their lights and imprisoning them, and it’s up to Cherrie and her brother to free them. But saving the fairies, keeping her brother safe, and returning home requires the help of the Phoenix. And the price for his aid doesn’t come cheap. If Cherrie wants to succeed, she must be willing to part with her greatest possession: her heart.

After uniting the shifters and calling in reinforcements, Chase has to face his toughest challenge yet: learning to control his emotions. But as tensions rise and his powers grow, controlling his emotions becomes the least of his problems.
Terrorized by a multi-shifter who is hell-bent on turning him, Chase questions just how far he’s willing to go to stop his father. Meanwhile, Tiki’s virtuous nature has placed him in the middle of Vincent’s past, leaving Chase to oppose a senate of vampires and defend a demon he hates.
Trying to balance his friends, his enemies, and his inner demons, Chase is left searching for answers about the Mark, his destiny, and where he can find the next soul piece. Stopping Riley is his top priority, but as more obstacles arise, he finds himself doubting all the decisions he’s made - especially regarding Rayna.
One thing is for certain: Chase has finally realized that he doesn’t know anything. The light doesn’t always quell the darkness, the monsters don’t always stay in the shadows, and the past doesn’t always stay in the past - sometimes, the demons inside are the hardest to fight.

Blurb Nick Hawke likes his car fast and his girls even faster. He blows through females quicker than his muscle car races down the drag strip in Collinsville and he wouldn’t have it any other way. Determined to avoid the devastation he has watched his father endure in the aftermath of his mother leaving, he believes there is no room in his life or his heart for a relationship lasting more than one night. He seeks happiness in things that won’t let him down...fast cars, parties and one night stands. To his absolute dismay, all of that changes when he unexpectedly runs into an old friend and is introduced to Payton Archer, the first girl he ever wanted for more than one night. There’s only one catch...she is completely immune to him and his smooth talking ways. Payton Archer is looking for what Claire has with Jessie, but she has given up on finding it...at least until she leaves for college in the Fall because she is certain that is where she will find the perfect guy to fit into her perfect world. She plans on Summer being nothing but three uneventful months of fun, but it turns out to be anything but ordinary when Payton is introduced to Nick Hawke, one of Jessie’s old Collinsville friends. She is shocked by her immediate and intense attraction for “Hawke” because nothing about him is what Payton is looking for. Sure, he’s hot and sexy but he comes from Collinsville and that is definitely not on her list of prerequisites. Everything about him makes Payton’s heart speed because he is exciting and dangerous, but his fast car and the dangerous chances he takes isn’t what scares Payton the most...it’s the way Nick Hawke makes her feel every time he looks at her. Can Payton find that moment of total fearlessness and make the decision to leave the safe, shallow end of love to risk going under completely?

Scene – Part #1
When
Transcend was in its infancy, I played around with different stories and
different points of view before really shaping the story into what it is
now. One of the earliest versions
featured a dual first person POV, alternating between Ien and Kiera. In this
scene, we see, from Kiera’s POV, Ien’s accident and her reaction when she
arrives on scene. (**Note, I split the scene into three posts, see the link at
the end for the next post)

The
floorboards of the conservatory shook hard, feeling almost as though we were
finally getting the earthquake people had been anticipating. But this did feel
like an earthquake. At least, not how I’d imagined it to feel.
The
walls rattled, and the lights quivered. There was no rolling like in an
earthquake, nop deep rumble that came from the earth. This was different.
A
ear splitting sound bounced off of the walls, like someone had just ripped
apart a section of the world. I ran to the window, desperate to see what would
make such a sound. Nothing—the world remained pitched in darkness, at least
from this view.
Ien.
My body shuddered as his name played on my
thoughts, woven through the earth-shattering sound. I stared into the darkness,
looking toward Chadwick. Something isn’t right. And there is only one way to
figure out what’s going on.
My
breath came in small puffs of white as I walked, pulled by an invisible
connection to Ien. Winter was still in full force, refusing to release Spring.
I pulled my coat tighter around me and scanned the darkness for anything that
could tell me what I needed to know—that Ien was okay.
The
earth was strangely still, dark. The new electric nights that were supposed to
keep the streets lit had failed. I turn toward Chadwick. My body registered the
sight before my mind—heat, light.
Fire.
Too much Fire.
Before
I can think, I run, faster and faster toward the source of the loud sound and
shaking building. Ash rains from the sky as I approach the buildings engulfed
in flames. An old hotel in the midst of renovation had exploded. It was being
retrofitted for the new electricity that was supposed to make everything so
much safer.
So
much for that.
Ien
loved this hotel, walking past it every time he came to Whitehall. He talked
about bringing me here, talked about how we would spend our wedding night in
one of the rooms.
Did you come here tonight?
My
legs pump faster as the questions pour through me. I have to make certain he is
okay. In my heart, I know the answer to the questions littering my thoughts
now. But I don’t want that truth, not now. Not after our kiss. Our promise.

Eighteen-year-old Kimberly gets the shock of her life when she learns the father she thought was dead is not only very much alive, but never even knew she existed. Angry with her mother for lying all these years, Kimberly flies to Colorado to meet the father she knows nothing about before heading off to college in the fall. Her father’s world turns out to be nothing like she expected. Rather than the typical nine to five lifestyle, Kimberly’s father runs a summer foster camp that teaches young children skills to build their confidence and self-esteem. The Colorado Rocky Mountains are a different world than the sunny shores of California, taking Kimberly completely out of her element, and causing her to second-guess her spur of the moment decision. Never being one to quit anything, Kimberly is determined to show her father that a surfer girl can fit into this rugged mountain wilderness. That is if she can deal with Mason, an arrogant nineteen-year-old guy who has made it his mission to point out every mistake she has made since her arrival. While she would love nothing more than to rub it in his know-it-all face, Kimberly can’t deny the feelings he stirs up inside her, or the chemistry between them, even during their verbal assaults. When a tragic accident leaves them stranded in the mountains, Kimberly must use her shaky skills to save Mason and survive the elements. Suddenly, fighting is the last thing on their minds as they must rely on each other if they want to live. In their struggle for survival, they realize what they thought they knew about each other isn’t true after all.
Review : Cover: Love!! enough said because I just really like everything about it. Great story with a wicked cool bunch of characters. Kimberly learns that her father is alive and never knew she existed, but she is going to fix that. She is out of her element but she adapts. I loved this about her. She wants to prove to her father that she can hang with him and all the others. That she is not just a prissy girl. I fell into this story really quick... Tiffany has a great way of pulling you in from the very start. This was an emotional book.. it's enough that you will be laughing and wiping some tears away as well. Amazingly well written Unlikely Allies has a great mixture of amazing characters, adventure, action, love and heart wrenching goodness!! Mason... *sigh* yeah he is all business and badassness. He doesn't make anything for Kimberly easy. He is there to make sure to point out what she is doing wrong... but you can feel the chemistry between the two from the get go. You must read... It's great for everyone who likes well just a GREAT BOOK!!
I yanked my lips away from Tara’s—hating the feeling of loss that always accompanied that particular action. It wasn’t something I wanted to do, ending the contact, but the growl I’d just heard wasn’t something I could ignore. For two reasons. One, it wasn’t friendly. And two, it wasn’t alone. All around me I could hear them. Breathing. Snarling. Readying. Tara asked me if I could see them. I shook my head no. But I could feel them. And they felt … odd. What the hell were these things? One of them walked forward—the alpha. I could tell by the way he met my eyes, challenging me even before he issued a demand. “Two for the price of one,” it snarled. It was caked with mud—either as a way to distract from its scent or evidence of hard travels, I wasn’t sure. “What do you want?” I demanded, forcing myself to remain human even as my form shook and blurred at the edges. A thousand thoughts raced through my mind: How many were there? Could I take them on my own? Make Tara safe. Could she climb this tree? Wait it out? Maybe I could run, lead them away … “The girl. But we’ll take you too,” answered the alpha. That did it. I couldn’t remain on two legs. My mind emptied of all thoughts but one: shift. “Tara, stay back. I can’t—I have to change.” I struggled to stay human long enough to warn her. She moved away immediately. Not far, just enough to give me room. Damn, I loved that about my girl. She knew exactly what I needed from her right now. Like a sixth sense. “Do it,” she whispered. The words, her voice …at the sound of them my instinct to protect kicked in, so fierce I thought I’d choke on it. I shifted easily, pushed over the edge by her response. I’d barely landed on all four paws before the alpha came at me. Good. My teeth ached to sink into something. I tore through half a dozen wolf-hybrids before I’d taken an entire breath. The feel of their flesh giving under my jaw gave me a rush. Battle strategies. Technique. Look for an opening. Tara. Disjointed thoughts flashed through my mind as I tore at the horde of mud-caked Werewolves. They continued to come, one after the other. No matter how many I put down, three more popped up in its place. My lungs began to burn as I struggled to breathe around the flesh and blood that coated my mouth. When my teeth closed around the next one, I yanked us both out of the chaotic center and away from the pack. Strategy. We circled around and around each other, the mangy wolf unconcerned with its own injuries, the blood seeping from its fur. I looked for an opening while keeping half an eye on the rest of the circle. Technique. A movement in the center of things caught my eye. Taller than the others. Smooth skin, long hair. Tara. I looked over and was struck motionless for a breathtaking moment. Her hair hung loose around her shoulders, shadowing her dirt-streaked cheeks. She held a gnarled branch in her hands that dripped with thick blood. Her chest heaved up and down from exertion and the expression in her eyes—fierceness and unchecked rage—was not the Tara I knew. The Tara I knew was gone, this was … “Tara, look out!” I called to her just as the wolf charged from behind. There was no need. She kicked out without turning and the fluidity of the movement, the ease and lack of hesitation, made her a warrior like I’d never seen in a human. Her instincts were almost animal. I felt the moment happen in slow motion—the exact instant I realized I’d let my guard down a second too long. I tried to block it but my body couldn’t move as fast as my mind and the muddy wolf locked its teeth around my throat, slamming me to the dirt. I winced and let out a whimper. Mind-numbing pain followed, knocking the wind out of me and paralyzing my legs. Failure cut through me almost as hard as the pain in my throat. I’d been beaten. Tara would be taken. We’d lost. “Are you okay?” More than the words themselves, the closeness of Tara’s voice startled me. I pried my eyes open and found her peering down at me, her brow creasing with concern. Where was the wolf? I hadn’t even noticed when he’d removed his teeth from my neck. The pain had remained the same. “I’m fine,” I managed, lacking the strength to even raise my head and look for the absent wolf. We both knew I wasn’t fine. “I’ll be back. Don’t move.” She was gone before I could argue. What happened next wasn’t something I’d ever seen before—or probably ever would again. One thing remained certain through all of the shock and carnage that followed: I loved Tara Godfrey with all of my heart and with both of my souls, human and Wolf.
*Swoon* Ok that last line... Brilliant! Love it :) and I just fell in love with Wes a lot more *if that was possible*
Let's learn a bit about Heather.. Then Stalk her with the links!!
Heather Hildenbrand was born and raised in a small town in northern Virginia where she was homeschooled through high school. She now lives in coastal VA, a few miles from the Atlantic Ocean, with her husband and two adorable children. She works from home, part time, as a property manager and when she's not furiously pounding at the keyboard, or staring off into space whilst plotting a new story, she's helping her husband with DIY projects in their home (he woodworks - she paints) or she's lying on the beach, soaking in those delicious, pre-cancerous rays.
Heather loves Mexican food, hates socks with sandals, and if her house was on fire, the one thing she'd grab is her DVR player.
Heather is a co-founder of Accendo Press, a publishing group she operates with fellow authors: Angeline Kace and Jennifer Sommersby. Hybrids.
If I had to choose one word to sum up all of my problems, this would be it.
Without hybrids, I wouldn’t have to watch my best friend slowly becoming a monster. Without hybrids, I could let go of the mentality “hunt or be hunted.” CHAS wouldn’t be scouring the Earth, intent on slaughtering and using Alex to do it. Without hybrids, I wouldn’t have to be on guard that losing my temper meant losing my shape. There would be no monster inside me, struggling to get out.
Then again, without hybrids, I wouldn’t have Wesley St. John.

As Grace recovers from tragedy, her science class is chosen by Agent Sweeney at the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service to help with research on the new "Red Wolf Reintroduction Program". While she’s excited about helping with the conservation of the endangered wolves, Grace knows this means being outdoors in the worst winter recorded, in a place she no longer feels comfortable. It also means working closely with Wyn (her ex) and his annoying girlfriend (Skyler), a girl whose idea of getting close to nature is picking silk plants and growing fake plants. After a couple of wolves show up dead, Grace almost quits. However, when a fellow project team member goes missing, Grace continues the assignment under a renewed suspicion that someone might be sabotaging the conservation program. She quietly begins to hunt for clues. Little does she know, she is being hunted too.

Review :
Let's start with the cover : It's Beautiful! and perfectly fits with the series! Vania has done a wonderful job on both this one and the Untraceable cover I heart them so much :)
S.R. Johannes does an amazing job of weaving this story into something incredible ... Where I loved the first one for the same reason, this story steps it up a notch. I love how she makes it so that you questions EVERYONE! I never know who is good and who is not. When I come to the conclusion that one thing is going on... BAM I'm left with your mouth hanging open and thinking that was masterful!
Grace : She is still reeling with everything she has lost... but she is trying to get back into her life. She throws herself into a project thinking this will help. There is nothing about her that I don't like. She is a strong female character with flaws and all. She is a quick thinker and protects her friends/family with all she has.
The other characters are amazing all in their own ways. None of them are "flat" they are each well developed throughout the story.
I went as I was reading feeling all the things that Grace did... from her overwhelming sadness from having lost 2 men that she loved to all the terrifying things she has to deal with. I cannot tell you much more without giving all the things away, and you know I just won't do that :)
GET THIS if you Love/like Romance, Intrigue, suspense or adventure... roll them all together and you have
Keystone is the second book so let me tell you about the first one... well first :)
Cornerstone :
Nalena Maxwell has been branded ‘The Waste’ at her new school, due to her mom's obsessive paper hoarding. Nalena desperately wants something to change in her life, but when she receives a sign (and it's the wrong dang one) inviting her into a mysterious, ancient community, too much changes. What she knew of her family, what she thought of her life and what she believed about her future, is no longer applicable. Seventeen years worth of family skeletons come crashing into Nalena's life and it is the boy...the one that smiles at her like he wants to hear everything she'll ever say...that already knows her powerful secrets. But it is only Nalena that can choose between protecting the life that is already crumbling beneath her feet and the one that might sacrifice everything she could ever have. Keystone: There’s a man-made storm coming, like a rip in the world, and it’s called the Cusp.
Struggling to fit into the destiny she’s accepted, Nalena Maxwell has been left with one objective: she must find her murdered grandfather’s Memory. Stolen and hidden away by her own father over seventeen years ago, the Memory could be the key to ending the Cusp and destroying the Ianua’s rival community, The Fury.
Driven by each individual’s selfish desires, The Fury has always lacked the loyalty and organization it needs to be an actual force of power.
Until now.
Someone masterminded the Fury’s massive attack on the Ianua, slaughtering twelve of their thirteen community leaders, the Addos. Now there are rumors that the 13th Cura, to which Nali belongs, has gone to the Fury, manipulating the last Addo in order to control the other 12 Curas.
As the Cusp brings the Fury and their own communities against them, Nalena’s Cura must preserve the Ianua, but finding the key to the Cusp isn’t as simple as it seems. Review of Keystone: I am just going to tell you upfront.. I absolutely ADORE this book! It and Cornerstone have become two of my Fave Reads for 2012! From the first page, the writing draws you in. In this book there is so much going on. You have action, suspense, angst, romance, mystery and FUN! Now Misty pulled all this together and made an Amazing 2nd installment! The story line flows so well that I didn't realize how long I had been reading, I was that lost in the story. The characters are all really well written and are fun, broody, sweet and mysterious at times. Nalena grows so much in this book. It's very well done, and not just thrown at you or her. She is still learning how to deal with everything and I love how she is put through this in a real way. I Adore her! Garrett is just amazing :) I love everything about him from his attitude to the way he is protective and has claimed Nalena for his own. He is loyal and caring for everyone he loves. The Addo is one of my fave characters. He is so funny and out there. Also, he loves cookies.. and now who doesn't love cookies?? Nok oh, this one is great as well... He can hear everyone's thoughts and rarely speaks but when he does it's when you need to listen up! Cute description of him and man I could just picture him in my head! Zane... Ok so yeah I loved him... he's always talking in innuendos and the way he speaks is Right On :) Now to my fave part about him *besides his awesome talking* His Free Ball ... yes Free Ball... This was the coolest thing I have read in a long time! So much so that I will be doing a whole post about it later. Trust me, you will love this part of the book! So yeah ... GET THESE BOOKS!! like yesterday! you will fall in love as well :)
The Soul Quest Trilogy Bundle – Coming September 18, 2012!
The Soul Quest Trilogy book series is a quest for love, power and justice.
Soul Quest
The Guardians of Souls
Soul Deep
This is a bundled package of all three books in The Soul Quest Trilogy.
Soul Quest - synopsis Do you remember how horrified you were about the idea of attending high school? I remember ticking off those last miserable days of my summer vacation following my eighth grade year. Maybe you don’t, maybe you were one of those people. You know who I’m talking about, people like Melissa Small, the distinguished District Attorney, Larry Small’s daughter. She’s popular, gorgeous and absolutely terrifying to someone like Liv Glyn. No, Liv is far from measuring up to the standards required to make Melissa’s crowd. She’s not even close. Liv is just a simple man’s daughter, mostly tolerated by her peers. If this isn’t depressing enough for you, stay tuned, it gets worse.
Liv was commanded with Spirit at birth by the Great Spirit, Hala. I know, it sounds crazy but it’s true. If you think it’s difficult to be a teenager, try being a teenager who was born destined to save the world from soul sucking Daevas and their mutant progeny Aengels. There are four of them. Liv’s companions of Spirit are Laith Lightfoot, Brayan Akin and Meena Sodden.
Getting back to Melissa Small, she is Laith’s step sister and is always meddling where she doesn’t belong, further complicating everything. To make matters even worse, Liv’s best friend, Jedd is apparently aware of things that are typically undetectable to ordinary humans. So, Liv is forced to deceive Jedd, the boy who has been her constant standby since the third grade, to shield him from the horrible and very dangerous truth. Did I mention that she is falling in love with him? The term awkward doesn’t even begin to cover it, trust me.
Welcome to the mess that is the life of a human Oracle.

The Guardians of Souls – synopsis Liv, Laith, Brayan and Meena are back with a mission and a militia for justice. The four human Oracles join forces with their spirit counter parts in Arcadia to form The Guardians of Souls. Shy has fled to Los Angeles to escape the consequences of Melissa and Jesse’s deaths and Hala, the Great Spirit, has reason to believe he is not alone. Neither the Spirits in Arcadia or the NYPD in New York City has turned up any trace of Shy since his disappearance after the tragic events played out on Valentine’s Day.
Liv and her companions of spirit find themselves torn between the human world and Arcadia once more. Their duty as human Oracles continuously interferes and threatens the stability and safety of their friendships and romantic lives.
Get ready for all hell to break loose as Liv and her friends set out on a quest to hunt down Shy and finish him for good. This time the Spirit World means business when they find Shy playing up to his usual tricks. The odds are against Shy this time around but this may not pan out to be such a lucky break for the human Oracles. Could it be that Shy isn’t their worst enemy after all?
Is Earth once again safe from the perils of Daevas and Aengels? Are Liv’s human friends safe or will they be baited and harmed again?
Only the Spirits know…

Soul Deep – synopsis In the third and final installment of The Soul Quest Trilogy the Oracles head to the Scottish Highlands in pursuit of Lefu and Etheline. When they finally catch up with the fallen spirits they are unexpectedly met by another mysterious creature, but is this magical being evil?
The spirited teens find themselves faced with loss and betrayal in this epic adventure.
Who will Liv choose to be her soul mate? Will it be Beau or Jedd? Which boy will face a future empty of his greatest desire?
Brayan will be deceived by the one person he trusts the most? Will he ever forgive his betrayer, or himself?

Blurb from Soul Deep
We were down to our last Aengel when Andre quickly halted Anastazja’s wrath on the possessed girl. “Wait! We must lern who dun dis tuh de girl and de rest of em first.” Andre insisted. “You’re right.” Anastazja smiled as she sauntered up to the frightened Aengel. “Spill it, sweetie.” she commanded. “I, I, I don’t know what you’re talking uh, uh, about.” the flustered girl stammered. “Really, maybe this will jog your memory.” Anastazja, pressed her finger tips into the exposed flesh on the girl’s arm. The Aengel howled a blood curdling scream. Anastazja removed her hand and the girl slumped over in exhaustion. “Must ye always commence tuh such theatrics, Ana?” Andre mused, a smirk firmly playing on his lips. Ana shrugged. “Shall we try this again, dear?” Anastazja encouraged the Aengel by wiggling her fingers in front of her face. “I can’t remember her name!” the Aengel was super quick to respond this time. “Of course not… What can you remember?” she demanded. “She was blond and beautiful. She told me that if I chose this life one day I could be as beautiful as her, maybe even more beautiful. I’m a fashion model, or I was…” the girl said glumly. “Not anymore, ugo!” Anastazja cackled. The girl began to weep. “Are you sure you can’t remember her name?” I challenged. “No, but I remember her boyfriend’s name. She was always talking about him. She was adamant that we never lead him on to our existence. I think she broke one of his rules by creating us. I’m not sure.” she puzzled. “Well…” Anastazja’s eyes widened in anticipation. The girl blinked her eyes in confusion. “The name?” she sounded out carefully, as if she were speaking to a very inept person. “Oh, yeah right, Lefu. She called him, Lefu.” the Aengel validated our suspicions. “Thanks. Ta – ta!” Instantly Anastazja’s fingers flexed around the girls arm and the Aengel went up in flames. “So, looks like Etheline has been keeping secrets from her lover. I bet he won’t like that at all.” she grinned. “No tellin’ Ana! Don’ wanna’ ruin de surprise!” Andre laughed. “Agreed, it works far greater to our advantage to keep him in the dark.” Anastazja pondered the possibilities in her head as I suddenly realized we were several spirits short. “Hey, where is Jedd?” I glanced around the wooded area. “…and Beau?” I glanced more frantically now. “…and Paul!” I raised my voice near panic. Andre and Anastazja exchanged a wary look, but hesitated to say anything. “What? Start talking now! Don’t do this to her!” Laith stepped up to the Oracles and demanded an explanation. “Relax, we don’t know everything.” Anastazja began.
She returned her gaze to me before placing a comforting arm around my shoulder. I tensed.
“What happened?” I whispered.
Everyone was quiet.
“Jedd was injured badly. Beau and Paul carried him back to Arcadia in hopes that Hala might help him.” she finally divulged.
“I knew this would happen.” Meena ranted angrily.
Meena and Beau, especially, had been dead against the idea of Jedd joining our ranks. They had known it would be too dangerous for him.
“Shut up, Meena! This isn’t the time.” Laith flew into action. “Now that everything is under control here we’ve got to get back to Arcadia to make sure Jedd is OK.” “Right. I’ll take you, Laith. Andre, you take Meena. Liv, come on, shape shift with me.” Brayan’s command jolted me out of my shocked stupor. “He’s gonna’ be alright. He’s gotta’ be.” Brayan fought back his own tears. In seconds The Guardians of Souls were air born toward the Heavens and Arcadia.
