Then she meets Asher Morgan. He’s gorgeous, mysterious, and is the only person Ember can't sense death from. So when he pushes into her life, she doesn’t mind. But when unexplained deaths start to haunt her town, Ember starts questioning why she can’t sense Asher's death and what he may be hiding.

For those of you who do not know... I am a big Jessica Sorensen fan. *Hearts to "The Fallen Star" Series* and OM2DaGee...

I heard she's going to re-do The Fallen Star from a New Adult POV *winks*

I was way eager to jump on this blog tour. Jessica has a way of creating supporting characters that you will love. But you will somehow manage to get confused over their intentions. You won't know who are the good guys and who the bad guys in the novel. One moment you think one character is going to help our heroine out and by the end of the book your confused and feening for book 2. "Ember" is no exception. I cannot wait for the second installment.

Ember has a gift or curse, she can see anyone's impending death with just a touch. Just imagine having the ability to know when everyone around you will die. I would feel haunted just by the knowledge and so is Ember. She can't get rid of her ability and with the disappearance of her father she is made to feel more outcasted by her peers and her community. Ember has a mother and a brother who are mentally unstable. The only person on her side is her mercurial best friend. A friend who is good to Ember one day and horrible the next day.  I felt so bad for Ember. Her loneliness seeped off the page and unto my heart.

While Ember tries to find out why she has this ability, so will you. What does it mean that death is around her, wherever she goes, suffocating the life out of her? When will Ember get live her life and find peace?

Things seem to change or heighten when she meets Asher.

Asher along with another boy move into town and are both enraptured by Ember. Who is there to truly help ease her pain? Who is going to help her navigate her curse?

This book is filled with twists and suspense, people are dying, strangers are after Ember, her family and friends are losing their flipping minds, and the visions are intensifying the doom that Ember walks with each day. What is she? Who is Asher?

PS folks, Asher *swoon worthy* *fans self* The leading men come in many shades of grey *giggles at my reference* but Asher shines as a good guy. While there are those "moments" of hesitation. He still does whatever he can to comfort Ember and offer her peace. *Swoon*

It's that time folks, chapter SHOUT OUT!!!! Please remember to tweet me after reading chapter 10!!!

"But then he growls, wraps his fingers around my thighs, and picks me up. I enclose my legs around his waist as he continues to taste every inch of my mouth and backs us against the wall, beneath the shadows and florescent lights. There’s no space remaining between our bodies and I can feel every inch of him. His kisses bring me a feeling of ecstasy for the first time in my life. His hands are tangled in my hair."

Chapter 10 :-*  *passed out on my Macbook* LOL

The writing and the scenes are intense. Ember's pain leaps up at you. The connection between Asher and Ember is steamy and beautiful. Get your copy of "Ember." This is a YA series to keep.

I BELONG WITH YOU AND YOU BELONG WITH ME... TEAM REED

Hey everyone!! BookGeek AM here... Just here to share a dorky little story and marvel in the awesomeness that is Reed Wellington. If you've been participating in our Premonition Series Read-Along, then you know all about Reed, the Power Angel who is in love with Evie... makes us SupaGurls swoon and giggle and flush at his words. #TeamReed

If anyone has checked out Amy A. Bartol's Blog site, you should b/c she has some cool playlist for each character..... A "what if" Reed was real, he would probably listen to this >>>  playlist... For Some of us, I won't say any names *Cough Chele* :-) Reed and his feathers are all to real.

Now to the playlist... I love this playlist. Half the songs here are in my own collection.

Running Up That Hill By Placebo

And if I only could,
Make a deal with God,
And get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that hill,
Be running up that building.
If I only could, oh...

This song totally reminds me of "Intuition," and Chapter 16 The Chateau, when Reed enters the trial and is bleeding and hurt. The look of agony Evie sees on his face is for her. If Reed could make a deal with God for Evie, he would, if he could spare her from pain, he would.

This track by Placebo sounds so haunting and if The Premonition series was turned into a show, this song would blare from the speakers of the telly as he fought Pagan to the death... If Reed could "Get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road, Be running up that hill, Be running up that building."

In the next chapter "Binding" Reed asks Evie to tell him what occurred with Brennus and she says, "He broke me." She continues to lay down all her fears unto Reed. "Hold on, to me as we go.... Don't pay no mind to the demons, They fill you with fear." I played this song while rereading this scene and this is what Reed does, comforts her. “Shh… you are safe… I’m here.” The song continues to play...  "Just know you’re not alone, Cause I’m going to make this place your home"

Home by Phillip Phillips

Hold on, to me as we go.
As we roll down this unfamiliar road.
And although this wave is stringing us along.
Just know you’re not alone,
Cause I’m going to make this place your home.

Settle down, it'll all be clear.
Don't pay no mind to the demons,
They fill you with fear.
The trouble it might drag you down.
If you get lost, you can always be found.

Just know you’re not alone,
Cause I’m going to make this place your home

Now  onto my little Lifehouse story... I'm always thinking of really awesome ways someone could propose to someone... I wanna be proposed to during this song, maybe while the band is singing behind me, LOL... (Keep dreaming AM)

For the first 3:56 of this song it is completely slow and the words are just a sweet heavenly whisper... Imagine Reed asking you to dance and for the first 3:56 seconds you guys are just swaying together. He kisses you lightly on your cheek, forehead, jaw line, eyelids, while your in his embrace and then at 3minutes and 57 seconds, the song shifts into a rock ballad and Reed's wings emerge in all his glory as he spins you around...

Everything by Lifehouse

Find me here,
And speak to me.
I want to feel you,
I need to hear you.
You are the light,
That's leading me,
To the place,
Where I find peace again.

You are the strength,
That keeps me walking.
You are the hope,
That keeps me trusting.
You are the light,
To my soul.
You are my purpose,
You're everything.

At the end of Intuition when Reed tells Evie he would had died w/o her... I can hear Lifehouse in the background...

"You are my purpose,
You're everything."

Some music/tv facts:

  1. Running Up That Hill by Placebo was featured on The Vampire Diares Season 1 pilot.
  2. Everything by Lifehouse was played two times on Smallville... Um CW... maybe you guys need to read The Premonition Series!!

Anyhoo, hope you enjoyed my playlist "deep read." Try it out, listen to the playlist during the last few chapters of "Intuition" and let the swoon levels rise... #TeamReed
