Cadence, JD, and Orlando couldn’t be more different from one another. Under normal circumstances, the three wouldn’t so much as say hi to each other if they could get away with it. Then an alien crashes through the roof of their local mall, and everything changes. Not only do the three teens gain new abilities, but they’re also chosen to help fight in an intergalactic war where the next chosen battlefield is Earth.
Reluctant at first, they change their minds when the fight hits close to home. Teenagers from school start to go missing, and some are dead. Together they must learn to work together and solve the mystery behind these disappearances before more lives are lost.
BIO:
J.F. Jenkins lives in Minneapolis where she spends most of her time creating and plotting world domination – something that has been in the works for roughly 13 years.
In her free time she works as the local coffee wench and dominates the minions of the pixilated world on her PS3.
She’s also got a little man (J Walk) and a little man trapped in a big man’s body (J Dawg) to take care of along with her two fur babies Ushi and Tibu.
Cheyenne Loveless was just a boring sixteen-year-old girl. Then Denver Collins bit her and everything changed. Her plants start talking to her, she finds out she’s a Nymph, and a witch and the angel of death show up at her doorstep to take her away to the prestigious Vala School and Seminary. Oh, and she has no choice in the matter.
All she wants to do is blend in and return to being invisible, but the more time that passes, the harder that becomes. Plus she’s a daughter of the Divine, an exclusive secret society which rules the world of myth, and discovers she is a key ingredient to an ancient covenant created before she was born. A covenant that will reshape the order of the world.
Adjusting to a new school is difficult enough, but adding on everyone else’s hidden agendas is the icing on the cake. Cheyenne must learn to see through the lies in order to find her place — and possibly even love — in this new world.

Review:
I really loved this book! Great world to get yourself lost in. There are still questions I want/need answers to!
Cheyenne doesn't stick out..she is just a normal 16 yr. old girl. Well NOT so...she get's bitten by hottie Denver and learns she is a Nymph. This is why I love her because while learning all of this, she doesn't just take it and roll. She asks questions, gets mad, throws a fit just like a 16 yr old! She does grow into her new self as time goes on and things happen.
Denver...Mysterious, Dangerous, and well hottie. I really didn't want to like him but yeah I do. I really need to know exactly what he is up to though ahhhh!
Anj & Zes are just WOW yeah twins squeee. Anj is the outgoing, confident one. Blind as he is well, he can see what others can't. I think he is someone I would love to have around.
Zes....swoon. Yeah he is almost the opposite of his twin but alone away from a group he can show how he feels. Totally fell for this shy guy who is very loyal and caring.
I know I'm leaving out people I wanted to talk about but you just need to get the book and read all about the amazing people and the great world J.F. Jenkins has created here! It's an enjoyable journey :)
J.F. Jenkins has taken the time to stop by and give us a sneak peak at the places she would want to visit... Off you go.
The Five Places I Want to Visit:
My list might seem a little bizarre to some people. There are so many places in the world to see and so much to experience it was hard to come up with only five. These aren't in any particular order, and I'm sure if you were to ask me again on another day I'd have different answers too.
JAPAN
I've heard so many great things about this country and it looks so beautiful. There's a lot I want to see. The city, the countryside, everything. I love the culture and the food. Plus the people there seem super cool as well. I've had several friends go out that way before and they have only come home saying wonderful things. I don't know a word of Japanese, but it'd still be fun to go and experience such a culturally rich place. For more information
about this amazing country, check out online schooling for history courses that can teach you the social and cultural history of the 20th century Japan.
LAS VEGAS
This one might seem weird. Out of all the places in the world to go see, Vegas? But the observer in me geeks out at the idea. I want to see things, watch people, explore, and there is a lot of that to do out in Vegas. There are things to be seen that can't be seen elsewhere. It's not a place I'd like to stay for a long period of time. A handful of days should be more than enough, but what a great place to go people watch!
ROMANIA
I read this book called “The Historian”. It's about the historical evidence of Dracula. Needless to say, it resonated with me, and Romania was a big part of the story. I want to go and see all of the old buildings and the history described in the novel.
DUBAI
Seeing pictures of this city is enough to sell me on going there. It's gorgeous! The tall skyscrapers, the beautiful beach, and all of the man made islands in the cool shapes? What's not to like? Plus there would be more interesting culture to explore. And it looks a lot like how I picture one of the cities in my Dragon's Saga series.
THE ROSE RED MANSION
I kind of have this thing for Stephen King. After seeing the movie Rose Red, I found out it's an actual house that's out in Washington. Naturally, I have to go visit it. I don't think I'd be able to sleep there even though it's a hotel. The images from the movie are too vivid in my mind to handle something like that, but I'd love to take a tour and step through its glorious halls. Plus it kind of makes me think of what I imagine the school in Vala looking like.
WOW those are some awesome places! I especially LOVE Rose Red House! I used to dream of a house like that when I was younger and still have it sometimes...Always changing while I'm running around in it. Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Excerpt:
“Can I help you?” she asked, shielding herself protectively
with her arms.
“Sorry, you smell good,” he murmured, practically purring
in her ear as he pulled away. He still maintained his close
proximity.
“I smell...” She frowned and was about to sniff at her arm,
but she stopped herself. “…good?”
“You smell good. Kind of like lilies of the valley, actually.
Let me guess—you use that for your scented body wash?”
“I just use Dial.” Her entire body tensed more as he moved
in again, his face dangerously close to her neck. “I don’t mean to be
rude, and while I’m flattered you’re so fascinated with my body,
you’re also making me uncomfortable. If you’re just trying to butter
me up so I’ll go home with you, you should stop now, because
that’s not going to happen. Back off before I make you.”
He moved away once more with a smug smirk. “I thought I
smelled fire, too.” He extended his hand to her for a polite and
friendly handshake. “My name is Denver. Yes, like the city in
Colorado. Last name is Collins, and I’m sorry if I made you
uncomfortable. I don’t usually meet someone with that kind of
scent. It’s strong. I knew there was a reason I noticed you.”
Is this guy high or something? “Apology accepted. I'ʹm
Cheyenne. I'ʹve seen you around school these past few weeks, but I
don'ʹt think we'ʹve ever been formally introduced until now. You'ʹre
new, right?” Cheyenne shook his hand nervously. He had a strong
and confident shake. He seemed to be a genuinely nice person,
outside of his odd behaviors. If anything, it made her look good in
front of her classmates to be talking to the new cool kid, and a
young, attractive male. She felt a little less like a freak.
“I'ʹm temporary. I haven'ʹt been formally introduced to
anyone. You'ʹre the first, and it'ʹs only because you smell so nice I
can'ʹt stay away.”
“Do you use that line on everyone? It’s unique. A little
creepy, but unique.”
“No.” He sat back and proceeded to grab a napkin off the
bar and fold it in front of him multiple times. He didn'ʹt have much
of an attention span, apparently. “I actually don’t pick up women
often. I just made an exception for the blue--‐ eyed beauty in front of
me.”
Cheyenne’s face flushed again. “I wasn’t aware you knew
the color of my eyes, seeing as how you’ve been staring at my
breasts the entire time.” It came out a lot harsher than she intended.
In fact, she wasn’t meaning to say it at all. “Sorry, I—”
“You’re right. I was, but I remember you from earlier. I
noticed your eyes when you were looking across the school yard at
me.”
“You do remember that.” She shrank in her chair a little,
officially wanting to hide under a rock.
“It’s a little hard not to when you’re so cute.” He moved
closer to her, not quite as close as before, but enough to cause
butterflies in her stomach. “You don’t like it here. I don’t like it
here. And since we both don’t like it here, maybe we should head
out and find something else to do. Maybe we can go someplace we
both like.”
