Published November 4th 2011 by StoneHouse Ink (first published October 15th 2011)

From Goodreads:

Two worlds... one 16-year-old girl must learn to protect them both.

The nightmares haunting Corinne and her friend Mason hint at a universe that exists beyond the one they know. Her destiny is to protect a weakness between the two worlds, but her mentor is dead. As Corinne and Mason search for answers, she tries to ignore the sparks igniting between them, but can't deny she feels safe only when he's nearby. Will they find help before their nightmares break free?

Review: 5x5

I jumped right into reading this book without knowing what it was about. Yes I do this quite often as it makes the book that much more fun for me to figure out what is going on. I got dumped into Corinne's life and I enjoyed every minute of it! Her character is very real and has great depth. She is a typical teen and the way she deals with everything is spot on. Mason...well when he was finally introduced umm swoon! He is a great guy with great heart! He's very protective and I would want him around, just sayin.

The story line was really great! You have mystery and intrigue along with typical teen problems. Complete misunderstandings that happen to the best of us. I love how easy it was to follow and everything flows so well together! You have to pick this up it is a great great book and an excellent start to the series!! The ending left me looking exactly like this...

  1. Thanks so much for the write-up, Heather! :)

  2. Ive only heard positives about Pyxis. I'd like to read it at some point. Great review, Heather!

  3. Hmm. Is that a good freakout for the ending, or an OMG-cliffhanger-whiplash freakout? Because I like the first option, but the last makes me grumpy!
