Thank you so much for taking a moment to stop by! Now off ya go...

My Top 10 Favorite Reads of 2011

I haven’t read nearly as many books in 2011 as I did in 2010, but the ones I did read were really good! Here’s my top 10 (in no particular order):

Sophie & Carter by Chelsea Fine: This book is kind of out of the norm of what I usually read. If it doesn’t have vamps or weres or anything paranormal, chances are I won’t read it. But I was curious about this book. It’s a short story and it was selling well on Amazon. So I bought it and read. I laughed, I cried, and after it was over, I wanted to hug the author. It was so good it sent me in search of more books like it. And that’s how I ended up reading YA contemporary fiction.

The Vincent Boys by Abbi Glines: This is the second or third YA contemporary fiction book I read. I loved it! I stayed up through the night reading it, and after I finished it, I thought about it for like a week.

Cold Blood by Heather Hildenbrand: This book is the sequel to Dirty Blood. I Loved Dirty Blood, but this book was better. The ending left me with chills every time I thought about it. Not the scary kind f chills, but the kind you get when you’ve read something really good. It’s just that good!

The Jenny Pox Series (3 books) by JL Bryan: I decided to do the whole series because I loved all the books. These books aren’t really YA, but they are original and I really enjoyed the characters.

Ascend by Amanda Hocking: I DEVOURED this series. I loved it soo much! I had a hard time reading anything else while waiting for this final book to come out because I was so invested in the characters, I couldn’t stand to think about spending time with any others. And this book wrapped up the series wonderfully.

Enclave by Ann Aguirre: I LOVED Ms Aguirre’s Jax series, so when I found out she had a YA Post-Apocalyptic coming out, I was ecstatic! And I loved the book! The imagery is great and Deuce was a great character.

Divergent by Veronica Roth: I had heard such great things about this book that I HAD to read it. And I loved it! Four was awesome. The factions were well thought out, and the story was great. It’s a long book, but it never felt long as I read it.

Wife by Wednesday by Catherine Bybee: This book is an adult romance. I bought it because it was a cheap book ($0.99) on the Amazon top 100 list. I loved this book! The characters felt real and the story line was unique.

So there you have it. I have a TON more on my TBR list, but those will have to be read in 2012. Or maybe even 2015 because it’s a long list!

Thank so much for having me by today, Heather!
