Jennifer spared a few minutes of her busy schedule to share in some Question / Answer fun with me and here we go...
SG: Can you tell us about your book in a Tweet?
JA: Which book? Half-Blood or Obsidian? I'll do Obsidian. They're not like us.
SG: What are you a HUGE fan of?
JA: I'm a huge Soul Screamers fan. It's one of the few series in the last ten years that has actually kept me interested past book one. Demon's Trapper's Daughter, Unearthly, Angel Burn are another few books I'm all fan girly over.
SG: Were is your favorite place to visit?
JA: I'm a big history nerd, so I like to visit any place old.
SG: Who are some of your favorite authors?
JA: Rachel Vincent, Jus Accardo, Leigh Fallon, Jana Oliver, LA Weatherly.
SG: What inspired you to start writing?
JA: I've been writing for years, but I never wrote for publication until late 2007, early 2008 when I read a book that I just absolutely loathed, and it actually propelled me to start writing seriously.
This or That...
E-book or Real book
Depends, but I'm mostly a real book kind of girl
Eat in or Dine out
Dine out
Movie at home or Movie Theater
Movie theater (hello popcorn)
Worry or Laid back
A little bit of both.
Thank you again so much!
Thank you for having me!!

I have heard so many wonderful things about Jennifer's books. I really like it when an author is really interactive with fans. I'm referring to all the great bonus scenes offered as incentives in the Heroine Tournament.
ReplyDeletePlus these books must be good since they have such dedicated fans. I hope to read Jennifer's books very soon. Thanks for the giveaway!
I already have both both books in ebook and physical copy, but I just wanted to give some comment love! Great interview, and I would totally have a fan-girl moment! JLA is so awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI've heard great things about Jennifer's books. The fact that she's a fan of Rachel Vincent makes me want to read her books even more. Her books sound incredible and I've been curious to pick them up. I'm just lacking some funds at the moment lol. Great interview, and thanks for the giveaway!

ReplyDeleteI really want to read Half-Blood, most of the reviews I've read of the book are positive, and say very good things about the characters and writing of the book, so it makes me excited.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am also an Unearthly fan!
Love Obsidian and am hoping to start Half-Blood here soon. Sooo... I'm super curious if Jennifer, being a fan of history would ever do a period novel/series. YA needs more awesome period novels. :)
ReplyDeleteAll the favorite authors mentioned, I've yet to read. But I just got Touch by Jus Accardo... so perhaps I'll start with that one :) Thanks so uch for the giveaway!
I really want to get my hands on Obsidian. I love JLA's writing style. It's definitely kick-ass. I need to read more from her. I'm actually trying to freeze myself until Pure comes out :p

ReplyDeleteYou are just a writing machine. I know all the books coming out you didn't write at the same time but still it's very impressive.
