1 Year Blogoversary Day 9 Angela Corbett Q & A with GIVEAWAY

Today I have dropping by Author of..
Eternal Sterling
Angela Corbett!!

Thank you big LOADS to Angela for chatting with me and answering crazy questions!

SG: Since your book Eternal Starling is about Soulmates...do you believe in them?

AC: I love the concept of soul mates and feel like I found mine, so yes, I definitely believe in them! I think everyone has a different idea of what soul mates are. For me, your other half is the person who makes you a better person and you both complement each other in that way.
SG: Did you get the influence for your characters from real life?

AC: I definitely see a lot of my high school self in Evie, and she has traits that I wish I would have had. As for Alex and Emil, they're really men I made up...it would be super fun if they were real though!
SG: Tell us about your book in a tweet.

AC: For the past 250 years, Evie Starling's soul has been tracked through time by two men. Both claim to love her, but one might want her dead.

SG: Where would be your perfect place in the whole world to live, and why?

AC: Oh, this is such a hard question! I tend to change my mind about my dream place to live depending on what book I'm obsessed with at the time. For a long time, I wanted to move to Kenya, then Australia, the Tri-Cities area of Washington, Ireland, and Sitia/Ixia. But actually, one of my favorite places in the world is New Orleans, so if I could choose a place to live, I'd go there...but only during the winter when it's not as hot and humid. :)

SG:  What inspired you to become a writer?

I've wanted to write since I was a little girl. I loved being transported to new places through reading, and wanted to create worlds like that for other people too. I started writing poetry in elementary school and had my first poem published in a magazine when I was 11. I wrote a lot of short stories and started a few novels before I found a love for journalism. I worked as a journalist in high school and college and then a freelance writer, but the idea of writing a novel always stuck with me. When I came up with the idea for Eternal Starling, I started writing and didn't look back!
This or That...

Video games or Board games

Hmmm, it depends on my mood. I love the Mario games on the Wii, especially Mario Kart. I'm kind of competitive and I've been known to run my competitors off the road and throw turtle shells and banana peels at them.

Tv show or Movie
I like them both! My favorite TV show of all time was Lost. Right now I love Modern Family, Revenge, the Vampire Diaries, and Once Upon a Time. For awhile, I was obsessed with an Australian TV show called McLeod's Daughters and was pretty sure I wanted to move to the Outback and buy a ranch, even though I know nothing about farming. As for movies, I love everything from The Dark Knight to The Princess Bride. My favorite movie of all time is Out of Africa and I named Evie's parents in Eternal Starling after the main characters in the movie.

Outdoors girl or Indoors girl
I love the mountains, hiking and being outside, but I'm not a big camping fan unless there's a shower available. One with hot water. That's important.  Note*Yes shower and HOT water major important*

E-book or Real book
I love holding a book in my hands and being able to dog-ear pages and write in the margins. But, I read A LOT and packing a bunch of books around while I travel is a problem, so I recently got a Nook for traveling. The Nook is really convenient, but when I'm home I'll take the real book every time.

Once again Thank you Ang! xoxo
